Today 21 February:

Outbreaks of rain will spread north in the morning, rain occasionally heavy for Shetland but becoming patchier during the afternoon. Southerly gales or severe gales with gusts to around 60mph. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Tonight:

Patchy rain will clear quickly to the north this evening with the gales easing, albeit remaining rather windy. The rest of the night will be largely dry with clear spells. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Saturday 22 February:

A mostly dry day with sunny spells. Just the odd passing light shower possible at times. Fresh south-westerly winds. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Wet and windy Sunday with gales or severe gales, but drier and brighter for Orkney in the afternoon. Sunny spells and occasional showers on Monday and Tuesday.
