Today 7 March:

This morning will be cloudy with the odd shower. This afternoon will be dry with a good deal of high cloud and some occasional brightness. Strong to gale southwesterly winds across Shetland at first, easing by late morning. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Tonight:

This evening will be dry with clear periods. The rest of the night will be dry and chilly but with a lot of high cloud around. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Saturday 8 March:

Rain will spread north into Orkney during the afternoon, and then Shetland in the afternoon. Orkney will be dry in the afternoon although with some misty low cloud. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Rain at times across Shetland on Sunday, mainly dry across Orkney before it turns wet later. Much colder and bright early next week with wintry showers.
