Today 17 April:

It will be rather cloudy with showers or the odd longer spell of rain. Skies brightening through the afternoon, particularly across Orkney, and the showers becoming more scattered. Winds variable, settling into the west or northwest, fresh at times. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Tonight:

A scattering of showers and occasional clear spells this evening and overnight. The west or northwest winds falling light across Orkney, but breezy over Shetland. Minimum temperature 2 °C.

Friday 18 April:

Mainly dry and bright with some sunny spells. Well scattered or isolated showers, these becoming more widespread across Shetland late in the day. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Plenty of dry and bright weather, but there will be some showers around. Feeling chilly in the northeasterly winds, these fresh at times.
