Dry at first Shetland, outbreaks rain Orkney soon spread northeast before rain becomes patchy for a time from midday. Persistent and heavy rain follows from the west from late afternoon. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Tonight:

Skies remain overcast as persistent and at times heavy rain continues from the evening before turning light and patchy from midnight. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Monday 28 April:

Early rain will soon clear to leave much of the day dry before further rain pushes north to Orkney from late afternoon. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Outbreaks of rain Shetland Tuesday morning otherwise dry with bright spells Tuesday and Wednesday. Patchy rain Wednesday night will be followed by showers Thursday morning.
