Today 4 May:

Sunny spells and a few light showers in the morning. These will tend to clear through the day leaving some lengthy afternoon sunshine. Fresh winds moderating but still chilly. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Tonight:

A largely dry evening with some late sunshine. The rest of the night will be dry for Orkney, but thicker cloud may bring the odd shower for Shetland. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Monday 5 May:

A dry and bright morning with a few sunny spells between patches of cloud. This cloud will thicken for Shetland in the afternoon bringing a few spots of rain here. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

A dry and settled period with variable amounts of cloud. Wednesday will have a good deal of sunshine, but Tuesday sees more cloud, especially for Shetland.
