Low cloud and a chance of some patchy drizzle and fog at first. This gradually clears from the north, with north to northeast breezes bringing sunny spells across Shetland by late morning and Orkney late afternoon. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

All staying dry through the evening and night with occasional late sunshine then overnight clear spells, these best across Orkney. Winds light from north to northeast. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Wednesday 14 May :

A fine dry day with prolonged periods of sunshine and light north to northeast winds. This will lift temperatures into seasonally warm levels. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Thursday and Friday dry with occasional sunshine and relatively light north to northeast breezes. Saturday cloudier with some patchy light rain about.
