Today 25 May :

Foggy with widespread rain, some heavy and thundery. The rain will clear to the north from late morning to be followed by sunny spells and scattered showers. Gales over Orkney spread to Shetland later. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy with clear spells and scattered showers accompanied by gale force southwest winds. Shetland will become cloudy as showers merge into longer periods of rain towards morning. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Monday 26 May :

Cloudy with rain Shetland at first otherwise sunny spells and scattered showers. Southwesterly gales continue through most of the day. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

The wind will ease down as showers become isolated Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday stay mainly dry with sunny spells and the chance of an odd shower.
