On Sunday 1 June, at 10am, Colin Miller will set off on a 625 mile walk within Arcadia Community Park, Kirkwall, the distance from Land’s End to Kirkwall as the crow flies. He will be undertaking the walk to raise funds for the park.

When Colin lost his sight, the use of the park helped him both physically and mentally and still does. A GoFundMe page (https://gofund.me/63006fb5) has been set up with the details of Colin’s walk and a place to donate for anyone who would kindly like to contribute and support the park.

He will have to walk a minimum of 10.9 miles around the park every day to achieve the target in or before 57 days, ending Sunday 27 July. If he reaches 625 miles before the target date he will just keep going and push to see how far he can get. The park relies on donations, so hopefully Colin’s walk can help towards funding its upkeep and the developments that we have planned for the future.

Thank you to everyone who donates and please follow the link below to the Arcadia Park GoFundMe page https://gofund.me/63006fb5

One response to “Colin’s Fundraiser for Arcadia Park”

  1. Good morning
I have just donated £10 to this campaign after hearing Colin’s story on Radio 2 yesterday. Sorry I didn’t leave a comment on my donation, I missed the comment section so just wanted to send best wishes and lots of luck on here. Also well done on 10 to the top!
