It will be a mainly dry day with clouds breaking at times to give some sunshine, though chance of the odd shower in the morning. A light northwesterly breeze. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Tonight:

It will stay dry through the evening and overnight. It will be rather cloudy for Orkney with variable amounts of cloud and clear breaks for Shetland. Minimum temperature 8 °C.

Tuesday 8 July :

Dry with variable amounts of cloud and a few clearer spells in the morning, becoming brighter in the afternoon, before low cloud and light rain arrive in the evening. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Staying cloudy with mist or drizzle and occasional haar on Wednesday and Thursday with occasionally fresh southwest winds. Becoming brighter through Friday as winds back more southerly.
