When we had lunch at Sheila Fleet’s in late November http://www.spanglefish.com/berniesblog/blog.asp?blogid=17099 I noticed that little standing Stones had been placed in large pots, all-around the outside of the building.  They’d been planted-up but, as it was winter, nothing was growing.

We returned in early July when Orkney is bursting into flower, and were delighted to see the now-blooming little pots and troughs

One had the added bonus of a beautiful little poppy

pot plant with low growing plants and a wee red poppy with the standing stones

We then went indoors for a yummy lunch

table with tea and coffee and two bowls with lunch

And had a look at the lovely things to be found up the winding stair

Sheila Fleet’s never fails to please/interest/delight/satisfy/
