Today 16 July :

Orkney will be dry with warm bright or sunny spells. Shetland will see occasional bright or sunny spells and low cloud interspersed with mist or fog patches. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Tonight:

After a bright start in Orkney cloud will spread south from Shetland to leave the night cloudy with and increasing chance of mist or fog patches. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Thursday 17 July :

Another cloudy day with fog patches. The fog patches will clear and cloud break from the south in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Cloudy with showery rain Friday. Mainly dry Saturday then outbreaks of showery rain spread to Orkney Sunday, drier Shetland.
