The weather stayed grand for the two days of the Orkney Vintage Club Rally held on the 2 and 3 August 2025, at the Orkney Auction Mart, Kirkwall.
There was a range of anniversaries being celebrated this year:
215 Years (1810) All things Peugeot

80 Years (1945) Fordson E27N

75 Years (1950) VW Transporter

70 Years (1955) Yamaha motorcycles

60 Years (1965) Ford 1000 series, Ford Transit

And 50 Years (1975) Jaguar XJS, Ford Escort Mk2
The indoor exhibition on the Sunday had displays marking the end of World War II.

The Sunday also had music from Stromness RBL Pipe Band and Ian Kirkness & Friends. There were plenty of places to eat, with mobile vendors and the Auction Mart café.
Every year this event excels and pulls in the crowds. Money raised goes to local charities and the whole thing is run by the volunteers of the Orkney Vintage Club.
Robert Foden in the World War 2 house interior display area had a challenge for folk to take part in. See how you get on…
