A FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Churchill Barriers.
This Flood alert is for coastal flooding. Strong winds and large waves on Friday evening and on Saturday will cause dangerous conditions around the coasts. There is the potential for significant coastal flooding due to spray and wave overtopping in exposed locations around the time of high tide. There could be disruption to travel, damage to infrastructure and flooding of roads and parts of communities.

The prevailing weather forecast, along with high tides and large waves means that flooding from the sea is expected. Southeast gale force winds also means that a combination of wave overtopping, spray and debris may result in the closure of the Churchill Barriers.
The highest risk is either side of the high tides, which are today Wednesday at 21:15 BST.
