Mostly dry with sunny spells for Orkney but showers spreading northwards towards the evening. Strong southeasterly winds with risk of coastal gales, particularly Shetland. Maximum temperature 12 °C.
Tonight:
A dry start for Shetland before rain spreads northeast, clearing Orkney by evening and Shetland overnight. Drier, clearer spells follow, but more rain reaches Orkney towards dawn. Strong winds easing. Minimum temperature 7 °C.
Saturday 1 November :
Cloudy with heavy rain moving slowly northeastwards and lingering through the day. Becoming drier with come clear spells by the evening. Fresh winds with risk of gales later. Maximum temperature 11 °C.
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:
It stays unsettled with frequent showers, sometimes merging into longer spells of rain. However, theres a chance of some brighter, drier spells breaking through. Staying breezy throughout.
