A cloudy and dull day with some light rain and drizzle possible. Low cloud across the area with some mist and fog patches lingering throughout the day, especially over Shetland. Light winds. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Tonight:

Remaining cloudy and dull through the evening with mist and fog patches and some light drizzle. Little change overnight for Shetland but cloud lifting and clear skies developing for Orkney. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Sunday 9 November :

Low cloud, mist and fog clear from Shetland in the morning. Orkney starts dry with sunny spells. Rain spreads north over Orkney through the afternoon, reaching Shetland during the evening. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Unsettled conditions continue with showers often merging into longer spells of rain. Skies mostly cloudy, though occasional brighter intervals are possible. Winds remain light but will strengthen on Wednesday.
