Today 2 January:

It will be a very cold day with frequent and often heavy snow and hail showers. Strong northerly winds with a risk of gales and drifting snow. A risk of thundery showers also. Maximum temperature 2 °C.

Tonight:

Heavy hail and snow showers will continue to move in from the north, accompanied by strong to gale force northerly winds resulting in drifting snow. Very cold conditions overnight. Minimum temperature -1 °C.

Saturday 3 January:

Another very cold day with frequent and heavy snow and hail showers. Strong northerly winds remaining with continued gale and drifting snow risk. Maximum temperature 2 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Very cold conditions with further snow and hail showers continuing, these heavy and perhaps giving some drifting accumulations. Strong winds Sunday but easing through Monday.
