It will be a largely dry day with some bright or sunny spells. The best of any sunny spells across Shetland. The odd shower is possible. Fresh easterly winds. Maximum temperature 5 °C.

Tonight:

A dry start to the evening with clear spells. Becoming cloudy, with scattered wintry showers soon feeding in from the north. Fresh northeasterly winds. Minimum temperature 0 °C.

Thursday 12 February :

Wintry showers continue to spread over the Northern Isles from the north, turning heavy at times. Mostly cloudy but some bright spells between showers. Fresh northerly winds. Becoming colder. Maximum temperature 3 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Wintry showers continue Friday before turning largely dry with sunny spells Saturday. A band of rain and hill snow spreads eastwards Sunday. Northerly winds turn southerly before becoming strong Sunday.
