Earthspark are Transformers born on Earth – Terrans who have an adopted family in the Maltos. There is a range of toys by Hasbro and an animated series to introduce these interesting characters into the world of Transformers.

Nightshade is a non-binary character which seemed to get some folk in a bit of a tizzy. When we have Action Men with no genitalia and folk who are still unsure about Bluey’s gender – time to get over yourselves.

Nightshade is the first character in the Transformers franchise to be identified as non-binary, using singular they pronouns. They transform into a Northern hawk-owl and their weapons are a pair of greaves on their forearms that function as blades and dart launchers while also having clawed fingers.
