Cloud and rain at first, clearing northeast in the morning to allow some bright spells. A band of rain will pass through in the afternoon with strengthening south to southwest winds. Maximum temperature 8 °C.
Tonight:
Rain soon clearing Shetland in the evening. Otherwise clear spells and scattered blustery showers, heavy at times. Strong southwest winds, coastal gales possible later. Minimum temperature 5 °C.
Friday 27 February :
Bright spells and scattered showers in the morning, showers becoming less frequent in the afternoon allowing longer sunny spells. Strong southwest winds at first, veering westerly and easing in afternoon. Maximum temperature 6 °C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Mostly dry with bright spells on Saturday, the odd shower possible. Stronger southerly winds on Sunday and Monday with variable cloud and occasional outbreaks of rain.
