Rather cloudy with showers, perhaps some longer spells of rain at times. Some bright or sunny spells breaking through in the afternoon. Strong southeasterly winds across Shetland at first. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Tonight:

Variable amounts of cloud and a few showers this evening. Then thickening cloud will bring some occasional light rain from the southwest in the early hours. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Friday 17 April :

Cloudy with occasional rain or drizzle, this turning more persistent for a time in the afternoon. Drier across Orkney later. Fresh southerly winds. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Often cloudy with showers over the weekend. Fewer showers on Monday. Fresh to strong west or southwesterly winds on Saturday.
