Rain and low cloud will clear Orkney in the early morning, then Shetland in the afternoon. Dry and bright for a few hours before showery rain spreads north in the late afternoon. Occasionally fresh winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

Bright or sunny spells and some showery rain in the evening with occasionally fresh southeasterly winds. Drier overnight for Orkney with some further outbreaks of rain for Shetland. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Monday 8 June :

Cloudy with outbreaks of rain for Shetland for much of the day, some brighter spells developing later. A cloudy morning with some rain for Orkney, bright spells and showers later. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Bright or sunny spells Tuesday and Wednesday with showers at times, these occasionally heavy and thundery. Sunny spells and showers Thursday morning, cloud and rain spread east later.
