A cloudy day with occasional rain. Some brighter spells for Orkney in the afternoon, but also a few showers possible. Winds will be mainly light. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Tonight:

A rather cloudy, but mostly dry evening. The rest of the night will be largely cloudy, with a risk of fog developing for Shetland later. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Wednesday 1 July :

Patchy mist and fog at first for Shetland. Otherwise mostly dry and bright, but rain and freshening winds arriving from the southwest in the evening. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

An unsettled westerly pattern brings bright spells and scattered showers during this period, with some sunshine at times but often windy.
