Bright or sunny spells with a few showers around in the morning, becoming largely dry through the afternoon. Fresh westerly winds for Shetland at times. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

Staying dry through the evening and overnight for Shetland with some clear spells. Mostly dry for Orkney with some clear spells but also the odd light shower possible. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Tuesday 28 July :

Cloud and rain soon spread northeast through the morning, rain heavy at times. Some bright spells and showers developing in the afternoon along with strengthening southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Bright spells and scattered showers over the following few days, showers heavy at times. Strong winds ease through Wednesday, breezy again Friday.
