Orkney will be cloudy with outbreaks of rain through the day. Shetland will be cloudy this morning with some rain before it becomes somewhat drier this afternoon. Fresh occasionally strong southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Tonight:

A cloudy evening and night with outbreaks of rain, some longer spells of rain developing in the early hours for a time. Fresh to strong southwesterly winds. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Saturday 8 August :

Staying cloudy with further spells of rain, but Shetland may turn drier later on. Strong southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Much drier and brighter on Sunday with just a few showers. Dry with bright spells on Monday and Tuesday.
