The Scottish Government is seeking opinions on play park improvements in Orkney as part of a national consultation. 

The Play Park Renewal Fund from the Scottish government saw a £60 million investment from 2021-2026 in 1,960 play parks across Scotland.

Across Orkney 6 different parks have had work done, with funding of £306,000. This included completely new equipment and full renewal in Manse Road Play Area, Kirkwall which now has inclusive play park equipment.

The Scottish Government now wants to hear from families in Orkney and across Scotland about their local play spaces. The responses provided by local residents will be used to evaluate current practice and inform future policy, so it is an important opportunity to help shape outcomes for further projects. 

Developed by Play Scotland, the survey only takes a few minutes to complete.
