Pens Around the World will launch its new anthology in a webinar on Sunday 4 October 2026 between 1300 and 1500 British Summer Time.

Pens is a peer group of creative writers working in English and living in far-flung places. It was founded in early 2021 by former members of Writers Abroad, which closed in 2020.

The anthology celebrates the group’s fifth anniversary. It is an eclectic mix of contributions on belonging and between-ness, the writing life abroad and memory, movement and homecoming. There is also a chain story, a joint creation by a number of members.

The speakers will be members and guest contributors, who will read pieces of their texts from the anthology and be interviewed by another speaker or the webinar host.

All texts will be shared on screen, the event recorded and parts of the event available on YouTube.

The anthology is available on Amazon, ISBN 9798181128590. All sales revenues will be donated to Insulate Ukraine, a charity which replaces broken windows with shatterproof plastic, insulating the occupants from the Arctic winters.
