It will be mostly cloudy with occasional showers and one or two clear intervals. The strong southeasterly winds will persist. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Wednesday 21 October :

A cloudy day with outbreaks of rain, these showery over Shetland with some drier spells but becoming more persistent over Orkney. Winds easing slightly. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Brighter on Thursday with sunshine and a few showers, though rain may return to Shetland for a time. Bright with scattered showers Friday and Saturday, chance of rain Friday night.
