Scotland’s Citizens Assembly is up and running, holding its first 2 sessions this weekend.
“We are looking at the support that will be required for members, fully aware that this is a significant commitment we ask of them”
The Citizens Assembly is welcomed and supported by the SNP, Labour and the Scottish Greens.
Recruitment of members commenced on Monday 26th of August and people will be randomly selected.
Scotland’s Citizens’ Assembly now has two independent conveners who will chair the meetings.
The Citizens’ Assembly aims to tackle some of the major issues facing Scotland in the years ahead.
