Nephrite returns once again to continue my history of the world famous and yet mysterious Arsène Lupin III!
Lupin the Third is something of an obscure yet playful icon. The series has been running in some form pretty much non-stop since 1967.
The new video that accompanies the lockdown inspired single was filmed at the former naval airbase HMS Tern in Twatt, in the West Mainland of Orkney.
Orkney’s Phoenix Cinema will open its doors to the film going public today, 17th May, and has received £15,420 from Screen Scotland’s Independent Cinema Recovery and Resilience Fund in order to do so.
“Take a bunch of really cheesy enjoyably bad old films, get a few characters together and have them make jokes, riffs and sarcastic comments throughout the film.”
we leap straight into the action – right away a large space ship flies forward directly from the view of the camera only to be eclipsed by an even larger battleship that fills the whole screen firing upon it.
“The best part of the movie is the part set in the past which allows the exploration of characters and back-story the main series never got into too deeply “
“But before the replacement of the Pink Ranger happened, the movie was at the cinema… and it wasn’t that great. “
Note I am reviewing King Kong vs. Godzilla NOT Godzilla vs. Kong
