The Picky centre has taken steps to curb selfish parking at the centre. Previously a few folk were parking either in the disabled bay or in the maneuvering room for the bay as well as the bus space for people with a disability attending the Life Styles Centre .

The Picky has recently introduced stickers as in the photograph. these are stuck to the windscreen in the drivers field of vision and are quite difficult to remove, deliberately so.

And in supermarket parking……

One Orkney resident has been on a one man campaign about selfish parking at a certain Kirkwall supermarket car park. He photographs the offending vehicle and publishes the photo on Social media letting Public shame do the work.
