Bidding for the contract to upgrade the infamous Berriedale Braes has opened. The Scottish Government which is paying for the project expects it to come in for £9 million.
The alignment of the road and the tight bends that all drivers in the North know so well are to be improved.
The work is expected to commence next year.

Minister for Transport & Islands in the Scottish Government, Humza Yousaf said:

“This brings the total value of contracts awarded and advertised over recent months to £174m, demonstrating this Government’s continued commitment to improving the transport network.”
