Garden Furniture – Recycle and Reuse

This cost me £1.50 at Orkney Zero Waste Yard: A Treasure Trove. There are lots there with this being the smallest size because that is all I could fit in my car. The wood is good and strong. Inside the central reel are metal posts.

It’s a work in progress so currently being painted and I hope it will eventually make its way into the garden as a table.

I’ll post an update when it is complete.

  1. I’ve wanted one of these for a while now – possibely as a table on the slabs in front of the house. Anything else, would blow away! Good find, Fiona!

there’s loads of them there – and the big ones are heavy

  2. And the hole in the center is nice for an umbrella post.

Yes but perhaps not for Orkney

      1. Just the pole, and maybe a windsock.

  3. One of those rainbow windsock thingys, with floaty bits………………..that would look very cheerful!
