SEPA Flood Alert for Orkney

exclammation markA FLOOD ALERT has been issued for Orkney.

Persistent and heavy rain during Saturday could bring some localised and minor disruption to low lying areas due to flooding from some watercourses. In addition some minor surface water flooding is also possible where rain falls on impermeable surfaces such as urban areas and the road network.

The focus of the heaviest rain is to the northern parts of the Orkney islands, and any disruption is more likely to be here, but is possible across the whole of Orkney.
