Monday last saw the OREF AGM.(Orkney Renewable Energy Forum). This was a well attended meeting, professionally run whilst being relaxed at the same time. It has been running this last year with a “rolling” chair. The Chair being mostly selected on skill set criteria.OREF is a very inclusive organisation, its membership of just over 100 ranges from large businesses to students and individuals. It has been a very busy year with its monthly talks on renewable Energy related topics, visits and consultations.
OIC gave a presentation after the meeting on its proposed wind farms. This was essentially the same as the previous Public Consultation events which were held at various venues on Orkney mainland.
