A FLOOD ALERT has been issued for Orkney.
Coastal flooding is possible in Orkney on Sunday and Monday as a result of a surge combined with large waves, particularly around the times of high tide. At Kirkwall, high tide occurs around 16:00 on Sunday, and 04:30 and 17:00 on Monday. The areas expected to see most overtopping are Sanday and the Churchill Barriers.
