Twenty two cafes and three independent bakers took part in the Chocolate Fairbake challenge in Orkney as part of Fairtrade Fortnight.
There were 571 votes.
Top of the polls went to Birsay Bay Tearooms, with Groatie Buckies Café in Westray the runner-up.
Special mention for Café Lolz which only just missed out on the awards and beat off the rest of the competition in Kirkwall and the East Mainland.
The Fairtrade choccie hamper winner was Bruce Mainland, who enjoyed his Fairbake at The Reel.
There was a great spirit this year with such a range of popular outlets and smaller businesses and social enterprises involved and the baking was just fabulous.
Orkney Fairtrade Group pass on huge thanks to all participants, voters and supporters, special thoughts for our local hospitality sector and the challenges it faces, and all good wishes for everyone’s health and security over the coming weeks.
