£33million is available from the Scottish Government’s Wellbeing Fund to support charities in the work they do during the Covid 19 pandemic.
The Wellbeing Fund was set up to support those most at need in local areas. The Fund started with £50million and so far £10 million has been allocated for immediate priorities and £7 million committed to support around 2000 charities through small grants.
Organisations should submit an expression of interest to access financial support through the website of the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO).
Any organisation wishing to submit an expression of interest can do so through the Coronavirus Third Sector Information Hub on the SCVO website
Funds have supported the purchase and delivery of food, activities to support people’s mental health and wellbeing, co-ordination of local activity and staff and volunteer expenses. It is anticipated that the fund will continue to support those things and much more.
The Fund is open to all Third Sector Organisations.
