We had our Flu jabs this Friday at the Kirkwall Vaccination Center.

The Vaccination center is the old Skerryvore practice building in the old Balfour complex.
It was a very swift and efficient operation with a coordinator in the carpark who offered to slot me through early as I was well early for my appointment.
Well done to the staff and the “backroom boys and girls” who planned it.
It is especially vital this year that you get a flu jab if you can.
Whilst there have been no formal investigation of this effect there is substantial evidence going back decades that people who have the flu jab have a form of immunity to other virus
Your first point of contact should be your GP/Practice.

Nick, fully agree. I got an invite from my GP offering us 4 or 5 dates and times, made our appointment and got our jabs over two weeks ago. Whole exercise went like clock-work and we were in and out in about 5 minutes. Full marks Brae, Health Center and all their great staff – a well oiled machine.
