The Great Big Art Exhibition

The Great Big Art Exhibition
In your windows, gardens and online for 100 days from 28th January – 7th May.

Museums and leading artists are inviting the public to make an artwork at home and put it in their windows or gardens and create a countrywide show of imagination and optimism.

To take part, people can download a free activity pack from the arts organisation FirstSite.

And, if they would like their artwork to appear in the Great Big Art Exhibition Gallery online  they can post a photo on social media and include the hashtag #thegreatbigartexhibition2021.

The Northlight Gallery, Stromness,  is going to exhibit some work by artists who have previously shown in the gallery on the first four themes of The Great Big Art Exhibition from Saturday 13th to Friday 26th March:

  • Animals
  • Portraits
  • Colour
  • Humour

Here are some images from the first theme set by Sir Antony Gormley, animals, that will appear in the Northlight windows.
