April the Second……………Small is beautiful………..Jenny Wren……very busy in the sunshine…..

April the Third………Something to appreciate in each day…………taking the opportunity of some time off to have a big clear-out in the garage.…then a trip to Garson Civic Amenity Centre… https://www.orkney.gov.uk/Service-Directory/R/Recycling-Centres-Civic-Amenity.htm

All helps to keep our lives working more smoothly in these uneven times.  OIC take note.

April the Fourth……………St. Ninian’s Kirkyard, Deerness ….balanced on the edge of the ocean…..

April the Fifth…….Easter Monday…..turned into Christmas!…..The view through our living room window…..

I’ve heard of ‘lambing snow’ – but this is something else!!!

April the Sixth………Weather forecast in The Orkney News…..”Another bitterly cold day with strong to gale force north-westerly winds bringing further snow showers”……….They’re not kidding…….the garden pond….. in April?!  Interesting shapes.

We were wondering how the taddies and frogspawn will manage – but remembered that they have come through similar conditions in previous years.

April the Seventh…….A walk at Evie beach…..on the Magnus Way https://www.stmagnusway.com/  …..two kinds of marker…..

What does the other symbol mean?

April the Eighth…………The weather continues vile……time to start some seeds off in propagators (aka old cupcake holders https://theorkneynews.scot/2020/06/09/still-re-cycling/ ) so that when the weather is ready – the seedlings will be too!
