A good deal of cloud, perhaps with the odd patch of haar near Orkney coasts. The cloud thinning and breaking over western Shetland with some sunny spells, and perhaps also over western Orkney later. Mainly light northeast breeze. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Tonight:

Some sunny or clear intervals over northwest Shetland, but generally a lot of cloud, with very low cloud or haar affecting Orkney and Fair Isle. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Friday 28th May:

A dry day. A lot of cloud once again across Orkney and eastern Shetland, and a good chance of some warm sunny spells over west Shetland. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Low cloud and haar for many this weekend but some warm sunshine in north and west, and more generally over Orkney on Sunday. Breezier on Monday, some light rain later.
