Mostly cloudy across Shetland with isolated light showers possible. Dry in Orkney with the cloud thinning and breaking at times. Winds will remain light. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Tuesday 3rd of August:

A mainly dry and bright day with some sunny spells expected and feeling warm. However, showers could push north into Orkney later in the day. Light southerly winds. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Mainly dry on Wednesday with bright and sunny spells, although haar and showers possible. Heavy showers are likely at times on Thursday and Friday, but drier and brighter spells too. Information from the Met Office
