
A consultation has been launched into developing a local food strategy. The Scottish Government consultation closes on 26th of November 2021
Mairi Gougeon MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and Islands, commented that everyone should be able to afford and eat healthy, sustainable, local food.
The consultation team has put together a set of actions that the Scottish Government would take forward to support local food production and supply to consumers.
There are two parts: A and B, to this consultation
Part A –
- connecting people with food
- connecting Scottish producers with buyers
- harnessing public sector procurement
