Jeanne Bouza Rose is a well-known figure in Orkney these days – she’s always up to something!
To list but a few of her projects/adventures/endeavours/etc./etc ……Jeanne……….Was a winner in the fundraiser TAK’ ME OOT in 2017 https://www.facebook.com/TakMeOotOrkney/ (Jeanne’s the one in the ’flapper’ outfit!) – Has had a gallery/shop called Artworks of the Earth, occupying various premises in Stromness https://jeannebouzarose.me/ – Has been one of the Artists in Residence at the Ness of Brodgar archaeology dig for the past few years https://www.nessofbrodgar.co.uk/trust/ – And now her fame has spread!
Via our own Fiona Grahame, Editor of The Orkney News, Jeanne was approached by The Wall Street Journal to write about her experiences as an American in Orkney.
Major Kudos to Jeanne!
Copyright and all that restricts direct copying of her article, but she says it’s OK to share a link to it.
So, with Jeanne’s permission………here it is…… I Always Loved Scotland’s Orkney Islands. So I Retired There
