Over the next few days, a combination of high tides and strong winds means that flooding to coastal areas could occur.
The main areas likely to see disruption are the Churchill Barriers, but other low-lying areas exposed to the west/northwest wind could see some issues too, especially around the time of high tide.
The highest tide on Thursday is expected to be at 10:40 (Rapness) and 12:00 (Kirkwall). SEPA will continue to monitor the situation and further updates will appear here if the situation changes.
Remain vigilant and remember, it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property. Advice and information is also available through Floodline on 0345 9881188.
