Overcast skies tending to dominate with low cloud, fog patches, drizzly showers, most likely across Orkney. Best of conditions across Shetland with best of the limited brighter spells, in the north and through the morning. Winds southeasterly moderate to fresh. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Tonight:

Overcast through the evening with some drizzly showers, mist and perhaps fog. Light winds turning to the north overnight, bringing a largely dry, bright start to Sunday. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Monday 2nd May:

Sunshine and showers brought on northerly breezes. Shetland will see the bulk of the showers and best of brighter spells. Temperatures noticeably down from Sunday. Maximum temperature 10 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Rather cloudy with scattered showers, which merge to longer periods of rain at times for Wednesday and Thursday. Southerly winds veering southwesterly from Wednesday.
