Award-winning Scottish artist Paolo Doyle will be exhibiting paintings and drawings at The Loft Gallery, St Margaret’s Hope from Saturday 30th July.

This is third time lucky for Paolo Doyle who had originally planned the exhibition for 2019. It was then cancelled for the next two consecutive years as well.
The exhibition runs until 23rd of August.
Speaking about the exhibition Paulo Doyle said:
“A lot of my paintings are set against a backdrop of Orkney, although they deal with lifespan, temporality and permanence, and Orkney is where they belong. I have wanted to show in Orkney for such a long time, and I am so glad it is going ahead in 2022.”
Paolo Doyle is the recipient of several awards and has exhibited with the Royal Society for Painters in Water Colours and the Royal Society of Oil Painters. His work is in many private collections around the world.
Trained at Gray’s School of Art, Doyle works in a variety of media including oil, watercolour, screenprint, charcoal, sculpture, photography and film, combining a Pre-Raphaelite influenced realism with underlying subject matter dealing with contemporary narratives.
