An informal afternoon of coffee, cake and chat is being held at The Storehouse Restaurant, Bridge Street Wynd, Kirkwall on Tuesday 14 March from 1pm-3pm.
Kinship carers, past and present, are welcome along to the event in a safe, peer led environment, to offer support and friendship, and to share in their lived experiences.
The purpose of the Kinship Care Week is to expand the understanding and recognition of the role of kinship carers, highlighting the challenges often faced, while also giving an opportunity to celebrate and promote kinship carers.
