Cloudy start with occasional light rain, most persistent across Orkney. Gradually turning drier with all dry from mid afternoon with brighter spells developing, these most readily across Shetland. Southeast winds strong over Orkney. Maximum temperature 9 °C.
Tonight:
Dry during evening with some late sunshine then clear spells, most evident across Shetland. Cloud increasing overnight, bringing chance of a few light drizzly showers come dawn. Southeast winds strengthening. Minimum temperature 5 °C.
Friday 5th May:
Mainly dry, rather cloudy day. However chance of a few light showers about, also some limited brighter spells breaking through, particularly during morning. Brisk southeast winds may touch gale force. Maximum temperature 10 °C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Quite overcast and misty with occasional fog and patchy rain and drizzly showers. Best chance of drier, brighter conditions across Shetland. Southeast winds fresh to strong.
