Rain extending into Orkney this morning, and then across Shetland through the afternoon. Drier and clearer weather will spread into Orkney this afternoon. Fresh to strong southeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Tonight:

Shetland will see rain this evening, heavy at times before it turns drier with the odd shower in the early hours. Orkney will be mainly dry with clear periods. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Thursday 9th November:

Orkney will be dry with some sunny spells. Cloudy at times across Shetland with a few showers. Light winds. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Bright spells with a few showers on Friday and Saturday. Mainly dry and bright on Sunday.
